Jane is based in South Devon, UK and teaches voice and communication skills to actors, professional voice users and people who want to improve their vocal ability. She has an MA Voice Studies from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and an MEd in TESOL (teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She trained in Devised Theatre at Dartington College of Arts and in Physical Theatre, Improvisation and Acting at the Lecoq-based London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA).

Jane has extensive experience of teaching English language, coaching and working with people from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This has enabled her to specifically assist non-native speakers of English. When working with groups, she encourages a supportive and co-operative environment. Individuals learn by noticing what works well and use that to improve their own performance.

Jane enjoys working with actors and has coached those in training at the Freedom Theatre Jenin, University College of St Mark and St John Plymouth and Exeter University Drama department. She has also acted as voice coach with various theatre productions and directors, including with Di Trevis and Harry Burton.  Her experience of bodywork, including Alexander Technique, Shatki yoga and other therapies, aids her understanding of working through fixed physical patterns to free up the voice.

She can help you prepare for an audition, maintain your vocal ease, work on text.
